Hello! Today I'm going to be showing you how to make four lemon decoration ideas. You get to learn how to make a sign, a wood bead garland, fabric lemons and a jar.
You can watch the video below or read on.
Lemon Jar
You will need:
Jar
Acrylic paint
Pencil
Twine
Hot glue
1. Painting your jar with one or more coats of acrylic paint.
2. When the paint is dry, wrap a piece of twine around the top of the jar and tie it into a knot. Then you want to wrap the twine around the top of the jar until the top of the jar is completely covered. If you need to you can put hot glue on the twine where the back of the jar will be to hold the twine into place.
3. When you're done wrapping the twine around the top of the jar, you want to glue the twine down close to the knot and then you want to cut the twine but not to short because you're going to tie it.
4. Tie the twine you were wrapping with onto the piece of twine that was left over from the knot into a knot. Then you want to cut off the extra twine but you don't want to cut too short because the knot can come undone.
5. Drawing out a lemon on the front of the jar with a pencil and then you can paint the lemon in.
6. When the lemon is completely dry, you can draw out the leaves and a stem. Then you can paint the leaves and the steam in.
7. Take a long piece of twine and glue the middle of it on the back of the twine that's on the back of the jar. This will help with keeping it on the jar while you tie it. Then you can tie a bow.
8. An optional step you can do is that you glue the bow in place if its not sitting where you want it to be.
I decided to put flowers in my jar but you can put anything that you would like in your jar.
Fabric Lemons
You will need:
Yellow and green fabric
Scissors
Paper
Pencil
Hot glue
Pillow stuffing
Optional: twine
1. Start by making a lemon template by drawing and cutting out a lemon from a piece of paper and make sure you draw this bigger than what you want your lemon to be.
2. Cut a rectangle out of yellow fabric that's big enough for two lemons to be cut out.
3. Trace the lemon on the yellow fabric and make sure you draw a border around it.
4. Fold the fabric in half and cut the lemons out. After cutting the lemons out of the fabric, you should have two lemon shapes.
5. Place the wrong sides of fabric together.
6. Then you want to lift up the top layer of fabric and then you want to put hot glue on the edge of the fabric that's on the bottom. Then you can place the fabric back down in the glue.
Repeat step 6 for the rest of the lemon and just make sure you leave an opening so you can stuff it later.
7. When you're done glueing the lemon and when the glue is dry, you want to stuff the lemon with pillow stuffing or with anything you would like. You can use something scrap fabric to fill your lemons instead of pillow stuffing.
8. After you're done stuffing the lemon, you want to glue the opening shut. If you have any glue sticking out of the sides you can cut off the excess glue.
9. Draw and cut out some leaves from a piece of green fabric. If you are creating more than one lemon or if you want more than one leaf on your lemon you can trace your first leaf to create more leaves.
10. Glue the leaves on with hot glue.
11. An optional step that you can do is that you can tie a bow with twine and glue the bow on top a leaf.
If you want to make more lemons, you just have to follow all the same steps to make more.
You can also do whatever you would like with your fabric lemons. I put mine in a bowl.
Lemon & Tassel Wood Bead Garland
You will need:
Twine
Cardboard
Wooden beads
Ribbon
Scissors
Hot glue
Green and yellow cardstock paper
Acrylic paint
Paintbrush
Tin foil
Mod Podge or another type of glue
1. Start by drawing and cutting out a lemon out of piece of yellow cardstock paper and a leaf out of green cardstock paper.
2. Take Mod Podge or another type of glue and glue the leaf on the lemon.
4. Cut the twine you were wrapping with.
5. Take a piece of ribbon and wrap it around the twine and cut it to the length that your tassel will be.
6. Run a piece of twine underneath of the twine and tie it into a knot where the top of the tassel will be.
7. Cut the tassel off of the cardboard by cutting where the bottom of the tassel will be in half.
8. Take a long piece of twine and make a loop with it and place it over the tassel.
9. Wrap the twine around the twine, the loop, and the ribbon about 15 times.
10. When you're done wrapping the twine, you want to cut the twine you were wrapping with.
11. Take the twine you were wrapping with and run it through the loop
12. Pull on the twine thats from the loop and the twine you were wrapping with to create a knot.
13. Cut the extra twineoff of the knot but not too short because the knot can come undone. You can also trim the bottom of the tassel.
15. When the beads are dry, you want to run the twine through the beads. If you're having trouble putting them on you can cut the twine and continue running the beads on the twine. You can also try using a toothpick to help push the twine to go through the beads.
16. Tie the tassel onto one end of the twine with the beads. You may need to alternate which piece of twine you're tying on so the tassels stays on the twine. Then you can trim the twine from the knots but not too short because they can come undone.
17. For the other end of the twine, you want to tie a knot. Then you can glue the lemon onto the other end with hot glue and trim off the extra twine.

You will need:
Wood sign

1. Paint a wood sign any color that you want.
2. When the paint is dry, you want to lightly draw out a lemon with a pencil.
3. Paint the lemon in.

5. Paint the leaves and stem in.
6. When the the lemon and the leaves are dry you want to write a word of anything that you want onto the sign with a pencil.
