Hello! Today I'm going to show you how I made this birds nest in a flower pot. It makes a great spring or Easter room decoration for a table or wherever you would like to put it.
The flower pot can be painted any color that you want like. You can paint it a solid color or a pattern.
You can also put as many fake eggs as you want it in. I only put three eggs in mine because that's all that could fit.
Now if you would you can watch a video to learn how to make it. You can watch the video right here and it's the second DIY.
What you're going to need:
Flower pot
Twine
Paint
Paintbrush
Scissors
Raffia
Foam or any type of fake eggs
1. Paint the flower pot any color that you would like and want to wait for it to dry.
2. When the paint is dry. you want to take some twine and tie it to the top of the pot and make sure you leave some extra twine here so you can tie it again later.
3. Then you want to wrap the twine around the top of the pot until you like how it looks.
4. When you like how the twine looks, you can cut the twine you were wrapping with and you can tie the extra piece of the twine that was from earlier and the twine you were wrapping with into a knot.
5. Tie a bow with twine or something else.
6. Cut off the extra twine you don't want from the ends of the bow and you can also trim the ends from the knot you created earlier just not short or it might come undone later.
7. Put a little bit of raffia on the bottom. Then you want to put more raffia on the top and shape it like a birds nest so your eggs will fit.
8. Place some eggs on top of the raffia and you're all done.
That's how you make this DIY!
I love how it turned out! The eggs look really cute in the flower pot.
What do you think about this idea?
