Hey there! I was wondering what I could do with some purple lace and I decided to make a lace jar. I wanted to share how I created it and it was easy to make. It's also perfect for spring or summer.
Lets start with what you're going to need:
Lace
Jar
Mod Podge
Paintbrush
Hot glue
Scissors
Other decorations you would like to put on it like a flower.
Once you gathered you're supplies, you can make your jar and you'll be starting with adding your lace.
How To Put The Lace On The Jar
1. The first thing you want to do is that you want to cut a piece of lace that's about one or two inches larger than the height of your jar and you'll also want to make sure you have enough lace to cover the side of a jar.
2. After you cut the lace, you want to paint some Mod Podge onto a section of the side of your jar.
3. Then you want to line the bottom of the jar with the edge of the longest part of the lace and then you can start placing the lace onto the jar.
4. Now all y have to do is that you want to keep repeating steps 2 and 3 until you're done. You also want to add the lace in sections because it will be easier that way.
5. When Mod Podge is dry, you can either cut any extra the lace off or you can glue the lace on the inside of the jar with Mod Podge. You also want to trim off any extra lace from the side of the jar.
How To Decorate Your Jar
2. Once everything is dry, you can put string lights or something else into the jar. If you're wanting to put a candle in it, make sure you use a fake battery powered candle.
That's how you make a lace jar and if you want a little more help you can watch the video below. It's the second DIY in the video and it starts at: 0:31
Final Thoughts
Here's how my lace jar turned out! I love how I decorated it with the flower and the pearl garland. I also love the color of the lace.
What do you think about this DIY and will you be making one?
